Need Help in Driving the Committee boat to the Port Oliver Ramp and Volunteers to pick up the trash etc. Meet at the Port Oliver Ramp at 8:00 AM. Whoever wants to be the designated driver needs to get the Committee Boat over to the Port Oliver Ramp at 7:30 AM… If nobody wants to drive, interested Volunteers should show up at Port Oliver Ramp (not Yacht Club ramp) at 8:00 AM
The Poor Cay Regatta
Join us Saturday September 12th, for a rousing Regatta on Barren River Lake. The fun starts with a Skippers meeting at 10AM, with the first race beginning at 11AM. It’s $5 per boat to race, and we’ll have a free potluck dinner along with our monthly club meeting at 4PM. If you are eating please bring a dish to share. Come on out and enjoy the cooler fall weather and better breezes.

2. Adrift (PG13) 89min – Katie and Guy take a sea cruise in their sailboat and discover a couple on a wrecked boat, victims of a brutal attack by their crew. They take Eliza and Nick on board. The new boarders appear nervous about returning to Honolulu, and when the boat’s engines die and other little incidents occur, Katie and Guy start wondering whether the shipwrecked couple are what they appear to be.

Karl Millen – The Aftermath!
We met, we ate, and although there wasn’t a whole lot of wind, we improvised with a LeMans Style start .. The Dinghy’s went over to Peninisula and back to the dock and the Cruisers tried to make it around the island and back to the dock.. We had a Photo finish with Rob Hatcher snatching defeat from the jaws of victory ( Dr. Sunfish Barry Sanders) and a virtual tie via motor startupery for the Cruisers with Kevin Klarer edging out Lee Huddleston.. Thanks to all those brave souls who came out and competed…

Alerta !!!!! High Water at POYC – Move your Boat off the Dock
Urgent Update…from Commodore Reimer! Water rising at POYC and unless you plan to race Saturday we recommend removing boats from dock to keep pressure off the swing arm anchors…looks like we may have a race window after morning and before late afternoon rains, so plan on attending…also we will need a count for our BBQ dinner before finalizing our purchases in the early am Saturday…email should go out to advise those that don’t use Facebook…look forward to seeing a big crowd to celebrate the Fourth… Gary

July 4th Saturday. Skippers Meeting at 10AM.. FREE (as in Freedom) to race.. $10 to eat BBQ at 5pm. Fly your colors as you speed up and down the lake.
2015 Summer Sailstice & Glow Regatta
“…and we sails and we sails and we never touch land, with me bottle of rum and me pipe in me hand. ” Saturday June 20th.. Sail all day and have dinner and a Glow Raft-up Regatta and movie and food.. Bring bugspray and your glow stuff for night time activities. This is the longest day of the year.
